Do Hydroviv shower filter systems include a cartridge?
Yes, your first Hydroviv water filtration cartridge is included in each housing. You can subscribe for discounted, worry-free water protection with automatic delivery or purchase additional cartridges at any time.
How long do Hydroviv water filtration cartridges last?
Hydroviv's Shower Cartridges are tested to handle up to 25,000 gallons of water, but may be lower in areas with high chlorine levels. In a typical home this delivers about 9-12 months of use for each cartridge.
Will the Hydroviv Shower Water Filter fit on any shower head?
Yes! Connect your shower filter to the backside of your existing shower head (with the standard 1/2" connections) in about 5 minutes using simple screw-on connections that do not damage. Watch installation video.
Are Hydroviv water filters NSF certified?
Due to the nature of shower water filtration we have not pursued NSF certification for this product.
Do Hydroviv systems remove PFAS & heavy metals?
Hydroviv shower filters do not use the same filtration technology as our drinking water systems and are not designed to treat PFAS or heavy metals.

Why do I need a subscription?
Once you have purchased your system, you will need to periodically change out the the cartridge inside to effectively treat contaminants, maintain flow rate, and make your water safer for you and your family. Cartridges in any filtration technology cannot be effective indefinitely (Hydroviv shower cartridges are effective for up to 25,000 gallons of water, which we estimate this at six months for an average home) so we recommend a subscription to save money and maintain water quality.
