Duke University and NC State University tested a variety of water filters against PFAS (including GenX). Reverse Osmosis and a few other systems (including Hydroviv) performed very well, whereas systems from major brands failed.
Yale Study Finds Exposure to PFAS Increases Risk of Miscarriage
A Yale Study determined that pregnant women exposed to PFAS had an 80-120% increased risk of miscarriage. The researchers also determined that ingestion of PFAS-contaminated drinking water is one of the primary routes of exposure.
This category of emerging contaminants is being detected in a growing number of water supplies across the country. Despite expert claims that it's likely "ubiquitous in tap water," federal action is at a standstill.
